We tried to install the mount and the main bolt seized up almost at the end .We had to cut everything back off and mess up both parts of the mounts to cut the bolt off .It was a nightmare to get someone to help with the warranty parts .Then I had to pay 60.00 to get just a bolt and nut sent to me for the holiday weekend .Its a great mount but customer service sucks .

Our installation instructions recommend using Tef-Gel (or another anti-seize lubricant) during assembly, as stainless steel hardware can seize without lubrication. Based on the photos you shared with our customer service team, this appears to be what occurred.
Although this was not a product defect, we were happy to provide a replacement bolt and nut at no charge. We also had your replacement processed and in the mail in under three hours from your initial message to our team. The only charge was for the overnight shipping you requested over the holiday weekend, as those carrier fees are outside of our control.

High quality hardware that allows extra length to add backing plates in order on older boats that have thin fiberglass under the gunwale in order to support the load of the brushless trolling motors with longer shafts.
I think that the original kit should contain Tef-Gel and instructions to prevent Galling of the Stainless bolts. When the main bolt seized even though I put grease on it, this cost me another $100.00 and a three day delay on my installation!
Check the merchandise before you send it out the door the center bolt for the swivel. I don’t know if they come with grease on it or not but the threads were buggered and I cannot use this bolt so now I can’t talk to a live human so what do I do now what I really need is another bolt and a nut
You MUST include the proper lubricant to prevent galling. We greased and sprayed and slooowwwly tightened bolt sent w Seaswivel and still galled/welded. Had to cut off carefully w angle grinder and wait for replacement which went on easily w correct lube. I follow directions meticulously and was disappointed that the lube is not referenced. I assume many people experience what I did. E
The bottom plate hole did no allow the 5" inch long 3/4 bolt to pass through it. we had to open the hole up some to get it to pass through. Other than that it was a good install and the swivel mount allowed us a great location with outstanding strength. nice and easy to put in the water without any climbing around. Update I have been out and put it to the test. It’s a great addition as I’ve had a trolling motor with and without one. A great investment.
The lock nut should be included with the bolt not sold separately. If you are purchasing the bolt, there's a very good chance you will need the nut also.
I would have expected to also receive the 4 bolts to mount the plate. If I needed a longer swivel bolt I would also need longer mounting bolts . Maybe I should I called to check. But the sea swivel mount is really nice. I had to order from another place bc you guys were backup on production. Which is a good thing for yall! And I can see why bc it is very nice and beafy! We will use it for the first time in the morning with our Garmin Kraken trolling motor.

Disappointed after spending over $1,000 that the screw was too short. I would suggest including the longer screw in the original packing. Why put someone through the aggravation unnecessarily?
